At Tŷ Eco, we have spent over five years in R&D developing a Best in Class ‘next generation’ Timber Frame Building System – the Adra PØ Passive Panel drawing on our decades of experience in the Construction & Manufacture of Engineered Timber industries.
All of our panel systems (140mm Standard Open & Adra PØ) can be bespoke to meet the needs of your specific design if required, however we
have developed a set of standard details that can be used as a point of reference for your initial designs & specifications.

Tŷ Eco use Masonite pre-fabricated Beams in our system as they are tried & tested, reduce waste and provide high quality in industrial production with a machining process precise to 0.2 mm.
Masonite Beams have been manufacturing I-profile beams for more than 40 years. The I-profile means that less material is used compared with solid structural timber, it far more energy-efficient and helps to preserve Swedish forests. Masonite develop these strong, high quality & lightweight beams for‘building systems of the future’ from their factory & forests in Rundvik (Sweden).
Masonite’s Beams have been used in Residential Building of 8 storeys and higher in Sweden and other Nordic countries.

Knauf Insulation is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of high quality insulation products and solutions.
Tŷ Eco use the latest technology to factory-fill our timber frame panels with Knauf Insulation Supafil® Frame glass mineral wool insulation at precisely the correct density.
Knauf Insulation manufacture Supafil® Frame from recycled glass in their factory, just 40 miles down the road in St. Helens – where they also have joint venture with Veolia to provide the raw material less than 500m from the point of manufacture.
Supafil® Frame offers the best thermal conductivity available from a blown mineral wool insulation (0.033 W/mK), a tested S1 Settlement Class at an installed density of only 35kg/m3 in addition to a Euroclass A1 Reaction to Fire. Couple this with industry leading credentials, including quad ISO Certification, Environmental Performance Declaration (EPD) to the latest EN Standard (EN 15804 +A2), it is the only in situ formed (blown) insulation with Declare Label (Red List Free) Certification and Eurofins Gold Indoor Air Comfort®.

MEDITE SMARTPLY defines the standard of innovative wood-based panels, they deliver exceptionally engineered products with outstanding sustainability credentials, customer-focused innovation and industry-leading customer service.
SMARTPLY AIRTIGHT is a structural OSB panel with integrated vapour control and air barrier properties for use as structural sheathing in timber frame structures. Airtightness is engineered into the OSB panel substrate, whilst SMARTPLY's in-house speciality surfacing technology provides an integrated vapour barrier with consistently high vapour resistance over the entire surface.
Tŷ Eco use SMARTPLY AIRTIGHT in our panels, as it is unique in the market as one of the few products able to reach Passive House-levels of airtightness in a structural board system – as oppose to membranes which are less durable and prone to installation errors.
